Network Service Provider Classification Update - Basslink

AEMO advises NEM Participants that:

Basslink Pty Ltd has transitioned its network service classification from a Market Network Service Provider (MNSP) to a Transmission Network Service Provider (TNSP) with effect from 00:00 hrs AEST on 1 July 2026.

This change follows the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) determination that Basslink network services are to be treated as prescribed transmission services under the National Electricity Rules (NER).
